Super Cat Bros is a neat cozy platformer with short levels that can easily be picked up anytime. And despite seemingly being inspired by Nintendo games like "Mario Bros", it finds a way to maintain its own unique identity.

Although there is no lack of level-based side-scrolling platformer games for mobile, few optimize the controls for touchscreens like Super Cat Bros. We simply tap and hold either side to run in that direction, and double tab to run faster - jumping happens automatically.

As we progress, we unlock cats with unique abilities that help us get through different platforming obstacles, and hire unique pets to aid us. There are no lives or health but getting hit by enemies in quick succession forces us to restart a level. In terms of level design and gameplay mechanics, it's just a truly well-crafted and polished experience.

Super Cat Bros monetizes through forced ads and some iAPs, one of which lets us remove all ads for $1.99. The short levels make the ads quite annoying. Despite this, the game remains an adorable platformer with enough variety to deliver a truly enjoyable experience.
